Privacy

What is stored

  • In your browser: only your state and district, so you do not have to re-enter your address. Clear it with "change address".
  • On our server: your district only, never your address. When you finish an action we keep a receipt (which action, which target, the outcome you report) with no name, email or address attached.
  • Documents: we keep a short fingerprint of each generated letter or script (shingle hashes) so no two people send the same text. We do not keep the text itself.
  • Your commitments: a call you promise yourself and the three first names you plan to ask stay in your browser only. When you tick all three we count one completed list for your district; the names never leave your device. "Start over" on the front page clears them.
  • District-office visits: if you list a visit we store the office city, the time window, your note and the contact link or handle you give (personal data you chose to share). The link goes only to people who say they will come, never onto a page, and you can delete the listing and every request on it from the device that made it. If you say you'll come we store that your device did, and keep the organiser's link in your browser until you withdraw.

What is sent where

  • Your address goes to the US Census Bureau's geocoder, through our server, to find your district. Our server does not log it and does not store it. The Census Bureau sees it.
  • The fields you fill in to personalise a letter or script go to Anthropic to write the draft. The site does not retain them.
  • Bot protection: Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a request comes from a person before a document is generated.
  • Donations: payments are handled entirely by Stripe, in a new tab. We never see your card details.
  • Your location, if you tap "Use my location instead", stays on your device: the browser compares it with public district maps downloaded from this site. No coordinate is sent to us or to anyone else, and none is kept.

What we do not do

No accounts, no advertising, no selling or sharing of data, no tracking of you across sites.
